I like to stay horizontal: ATTN draws from one of the images in a previous work titled I like to stay horizontal (2018, digital print on pillowcases), which, in turn, is based on Chapter 4 from the publication As long as there is time to sleep (2016). Two small hand drawings in silver are added as annotations to the image of a scaffolded building, concealed from view with blue safety netting. One corresponds to the exact time in 24-hour clock system when these elements are added to each edition. The verticality and functionality of the built environment are rendered temporarily dormant, while moments of attention and timekeeping persist.
